Dominique Rodgers: 5 Things Never to Ask in a Job Interview

By Dominique Rodgers
Monster Contributing Writer
Your resume didn’t fall into a black hole. You’ve been called for an interview. You picked out a nice suit to wear and you’re ready to dazzle them with your smarts. And you know it’s important to have questions for the interviewer because it shows you’re engaged and genuinely interested in the position.
The wrong questions, however, can tank even the best interview. You know better than to bring up salary, benefits or vacation early on in a discussion -- those are still commonly viewed as taboo in a first interview. But there are other, less-known pitfalls to avoid as well.
Here are five questions you should never ask in a job interview.

1. What does this company do?
You’re here to interview with Consolidated Widget Makers, and you didn’t bother to look up what they do? That’s inexcusable. This is an unfortunate, but common, mistake now that people can easily apply to multiple positions with the help of job boards, says Kenneth Johnson, president of East Coast Executives, a Philadelphia based executive search firm. “A Google search will uncover the answer and save you the embarrassment.”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: THE POOREST PRESIDENT IN THE WORLD???

FILEPHOTO - In this Oct. 25, 2009, file photo Uruguay's President Jose Mujica stands in a tractor on his flower farm on the outskirts of Montevideo, Uruguay.
MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP) -- President Jose Mujica says his wealth adds up to $322,883. Nearly a third of that is cash, kept in three bank accounts that Uruguay's leader didn't previously declare.
Mujica's insistence on living simply has earned him the nickname "the poorest president in the world," but his sworn declaration this year shows zero debts and a 74 percent increase in wealth since 2012.
The form he submitted to Uruguay's transparency and public ethics board doesn't require Mujica to declare the source of the $103,451 in cash he says he now keeps in banks. The joint annual income he makes with his wife, Sen. Lucia Topolansky, totals $229,450, and they declared no debts, owning their land and cars outright.
Most of the cash is in two accounts at the Banco Republica Oriental de Uruguay, while $14,062 is in an account at Bandes, a Venezuelan development bank.

TUTAFAKARI: Climate change and Infrastructure Planning

Madaraja mengi yamekatika nchini kwa mvua kubwa zilizo nyesha, hata Ruvu magari yamesimama. Kihonda darajani kuna daraja limebaki nusu achilia mbali lile daraja la Bagamoyo
Planning ya sasa haithitaji uzoefu, inahitaji mtu mwenye maono ya mbele.
Hali ilivyo ni kwamba yaonekana miradi yetu, hata nyumba tunazojenga, hatuzingatii kitu ambacho siku hizi wanakiita 'climate (change) clearance'. yaani tunajenga kiangazi na kudhani hali itabaki kiangazi au mafuriko yakija ni yale yale tuliyoyazoea. Climate change bado hata watoa maamuzi hawaijui/hawaamini.

VIBAKA NAO!!
Mdau mmoja anaripoti;
Poleni watu wa Mazimbu. Kama itanyesha tena nadhani kesho mtapita Kihonda mwisho. Wenye magari, pale Dark City muwe waangalifu. Vijana wamejipanga kukwepua.
