LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AT SUA

SITUATION OF LECTURE ROOMS IN SOKOINE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AT SMC

Most of the venues/lecture rooms that are used by the student in learning process at Sokoine University of agriculture especially at Solomon mahlangu campus are not conducive compared to the standards which are needed to structure those rooms for university students status.
It is shameful to have such room structures in the big university like this, because it has a large area to build the standard lecture rooms which will be conducive to the learning situation of the students. For more information click here

SITUATION OF THE LEARNING FACILITIES

The lecture rooms of Sokoine University of agriculture especially at Solomon mahlangu campus are small in size with few tables and chairs as well as benches/desks to accommodate all students of some courses like education courses and agricultural economics and agribusiness course, hence this makes students to be highly concentrated in small venues like to the computer laboratories. Hence this situation reduces the ability of students to understand the lectures from their teachers.to listern the audio click here

Lack of air condition machines in some classrooms like SLT 4, SLT6 and SLT 1 seems to be a problem to students because students are many, sit close to each other and the climatic condition of the morogoro region is hot  compared to regions like Iringa and Arusha, so this situation makes the students to miss good air ventilation  in the lecture rooms which makes student to fail to concentrate on listening from lecturers, as a result student fail to understand about what lecturer teach to that particular moment.
