SUA-STUDENTS LIFESTYLES

Solomon Mahlangu Campus(SMC) is one of campus in Sokoine University of Agriculture located in Morogoro Tanzania. The campus accommodates a large number of students in SUASAB (Sokoine University of Agriculture Students Accommodation Bureau) divided between six units. Other students in this campus lives out of the campus where they experience different interaction with indigenous people residing in Morogoro Mazimbu ward. Initially the campus stared in 1984 as an educational facility for the African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa which was called ANC school of Mazimbu.

  • RELIGIOUS; Most of student in SMC are serving their God in different religion like Muslim in SL location, born again Christian in SLT6, Roman catholic in SLT3, Ephata in SLT1, Taffes in SH4 and Adventist in SK.  They prepare different seminars, concert, book lunch and organize the tour to see sick people in hospital, orphans and those living in hard condition. This shows how much people are busy with God and increase the spiritual status of them.
  • SPORTS; Many of the students in SMC campus prefer different kind of sports such as football, volleyball, basketball and netball, we do possess different pitch for exercises and these are not enough to accommodate the huge number of students who are interested in sports. But ruckly enough students I SMC are interested in sports
  • Night life; During the weekend many students go to town and enjoy their leisure time by going to clubs for clubbing purposes, making friends, drinking and also for capacity building. Club hoping is a fun activity for many students who are tired of the many schedules that the learning world has to offer .
